DR. KIM
Owner & DVM -Veterinarian
Dr. Kim went to veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. She currently has 2 dogs, Tundra and HeiHei; and cat Big Boi. She also fosters most of the shelter animals when she can to help them adapt to their new future homes. She is also a mother to two rapidly growing humans that are the main source of her new grey hairs. She is a coach for youth softball, basketball, and soccer in her spare time.
DR. JACKIE
DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Jackie Aberly (Samuelson) has been with us since June of 2022 as one of our caring veterinarians. On top of caring for dogs and cats, She has a special interest in large animals and will be increasing our care range for cows, horses, and other farm animals. She went to veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin River Falls. She loves all things outdoors, living on a hobby farm with her husband, dog, cat, cows and goats. In her spare time she is very involved with church choir and spending time with her family.
STEPHANIE
CVT - Certified Veterinary Technician
Stephanie is our CVT that started with us in May of 2022. She comes to us from the Chicagoland area (don’t worry she’s a fantastic transplant!) Stephanie graduated from the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College in 2015 and passed her VTNE in early spring of 2016. She first worked at a clinic when she first got out of school. After 6 months she made the jump to specialty medicine. She worked at VSC (Veterinary Specialty Center) in Buffalo Grove, IL for 2.5 years in the surgical and anesthesia department running anesthesia helping with on-call surgeries. She then worked at a second specialty facility called Premier Veterinary Group in Orland Park, IL from 2018 until 2022 as head of the surgery department, then also worked in Internal Medicine and ER as an outpatient and inpatient nurse. They decided to make the move up to the Northwoods in 2022 and joined our crazy clinic in 2022. She has a husband named Cody and she also has 4 dogs (Roxy, Remington, Earl, and Arthur). Stephanie also loves the outdoors and to take her dogs hiking whenever there is good weather.
CATHEY
VA/CSR - Veterinary Assistant/Customer Service Representative
Cathey is a lifelong Florence resident with a strong commitment to serving her community. She dedicated 20 years to the Florence Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher and jailer before retiring to open her own grooming business, which she operated from her home while raising two children with her husband.
Cathey joined our team part-time in 2019, working as both a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist. In 2021, she transitioned to a full-time role with us after closing her grooming shop.
Outside of work, Cathey enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved animals—which include one cat, three dogs, and four horses.

CAROL
CSR Customer Service Representative
Carol joined our team in April 2024 and currently serves as our Customer Service Representative.
Affectionately nicknamed “NASA” around the clinic, she enjoys working on our computers, website, and social media platforms.
Previously from the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin area, Carol relocated to Florence in October 2023 after raising her two now college-aged children. She lives with her husband, their two beloved French Bulldogs, Zoey and Poe—who often accompany her at the front desk and their cat, Sunni.
Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending time with family and friends, floating down the river as well as exploring local trails in their side-by-side.
